One of Welligton’s best  piedmont, swing, blues and dixie bands, Lauren Armstrong & The Trad Stompers will be sure to get you up and dancing all night long.

This talented local quintet make playing ‘old timey music’ their business and love nothing more than seeing dancers cut shapes on the dance floor.

Ol’ King Cole

ol king cole

With Respect to Nat…

…Ol’ King Cole was born out of exactly that. A love of the great music of Nat King Cole’s early drum-less trio which was active 1943-1950.

Performing the tunes of the great trio and other artists of the era Ol’ King Cole is lead by Wellington based Pianist & Vocalist Louis Thompson-Munn. Award winning Jazz Guitarist Callum Allardice joins him alongside Wellington City Shake-em-on-Downers Bassist, Bert Hendo.

The trio is formidable. Humour and a great sense of banter is the essence of what makes this band a great enjoyment to behold. Great tunes, honest and humble from the time they came from, and a great spirit of performance – from a time where there was no iPod, no Spotify, just musicians in a room making sweet sounds for other humans.

Lauren & Alexander feat. Dan Yeabsley

Specialising in jazz and pop songs from the 1920s though to the 1950s, these two know how to get the floor swingin’.
